HOTEL ROOM UPDATE. A few people have reported problems reserving their
rooms online on the hotel's website, an intermittent problem that
usually resolves after a few attempts.  The hotel is looking into
this, and has agreed to extend the cutoff date of the block until the
early registration deadline of January 25.  After that date any unsold
rooms in the block will definitely be released, so be sure to book
your room before then (note that prepayment is required but a full
refund is given for cancellation at least 7 days in advance):

FLIGHT TIP.  Direct flights from the USA to Bonaire are infrequent
(with some airlines only one flight per week), but there are frequent
(daily) flights to Aruba and Curacao and very frequent (many per day)
inexpensive flights from Aruba and Curacao to Bonaire.  Travel options
can be greatly expanded by considering a roundtrip ticket to Aruba or
Curacao plus a separate roundtrip ticket from there to Bonaire.
Trying to construct an itinerary to Bonaire on a single ticket will
often not show these connections.

Financial Cryptography and Data Security is a major international
forum for research, advanced development, education, exploration, and
debate regarding information assurance, with a specific focus on
commercial contexts.  We have assembled a vibrant program featuring 29
peer-reviewed research paper presentations, a panel on laws and
regulations hindering the adoption of privacy enhancing technologies,
and a keynote address by Scott Zoldi.  Two affilliated workshops (on
Usable Security and Ethics in Computer Security Research) will be
